He was instrumental for Spain at the just concluded Uefa Nations league, as Spain reached the final after defeating Italy in tightly contested semi-final.
He scored Spain’s first goal in the semi-final but was not available for the final because of injury.
Manchester city will have to do without him for the next 11games they will play in 6weeks.
